Bruce Anchor — Hot-Dip Galvanised

Bruce-type claw anchor in hot-dip galvanised steel. The claw sets quickly in sand, mud and weed and resets itself if the boat swings, which is what makes it the usual choice for overnight anchoring rather than a lunch stop.

A rough guide: 2 kg suits a dinghy or tender, 5–7.5 kg a boat up to about 6 m, 10 kg up to 8 m and 15–20 kg beyond that. Wind and holding ground matter more than length, so size up if you anchor on an exposed shore.
