The Osculati polished stainless steel mooring spring with variable pitch is constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a progressive coil pitch design. It absorbs sudden shock loads during mooring by sequentially engaging closer-spaced coils before wider-spaced coils, preventing violent bottoming out.
