Made in China

JABSCO manual marine toilet — the proven standard in marine sanitation since the 1960s. Vitreous china bowl, wooden seat, double-piston manual pump with lock/unlock to prevent accidental flushing.

  • Complete toilet (€246.95) — bowl + base + pump, ready to install
  • Service kit (€149.95) — valves + seals + pump rebuild kit (annual service)
  • Pump assembly (€129.95) — replacement pump (5–7 year wear-out item)
  • Compact 450 × 410 × 340 mm — fits the smallest heads, simple service, 9.3 kg

Service strategy: Annual rebuild = service kit. After 5–7 years or major leak = full pump assembly. The bowl outlasts the boat. See diagnostics in tech specs below.

Use cases

Boat refit / replacement
The Jabsco compact is the most common manual marine toilet in the world — chances are your existing toilet uses the same mounting pattern. Drop-in replacement for 80%+ of older Jabsco/Lavac/Raritan installs.
Annual preventive service
€149 service kit replaces valves, seals and diaphragm — the wear items in a manual pump. Doing this annually prevents the worst marine plumbing nightmare: a leaking toilet on a live-aboard.
Live-aboard standard
Manual toilets (vs electric) work without power, never fail at anchor without 12V, and the service kit costs €149 vs €600+ for electric pump rebuilds. Live-aboard couples almost universally prefer manual.

Installation guide

1
Diagnose the issue
New install = Complete toilet. Pump leaks, hard to operate, doesn't draw water = Service kit (€149) first. If service kit doesn't fix it, or pump is older than 7 years = Pump assembly (€129) as full replacement.
2
Close inlet seacock & drain
Always close the inlet seacock before any toilet work. Pump dry to clear the bowl. Disconnect discharge hose — have a bucket ready for residual water.
3
Service kit OR pump swap
Service kit: open pump cover, replace valves and seals, lubricate. Pump assembly: 4 bolts hold pump to bowl base — unbolt, replace, re-bolt with marine sealant on the gasket face.
4
Reconnect and test
Reconnect discharge hose. Open inlet seacock slowly. Pump 20 strokes to prime. Test 'flush' and 'dry' positions. No leaks at the base or hose connections = job done.
5
Annual schedule
Service kit annually if used heavily (live-aboard). Every 2-3 years for weekend cruising. Full pump assembly every 5-7 years. The bowl never wears out — just keep the pump fresh.
