Made in Taiwan

GARMIN echoMAP UHD2 chartplotter + fishfinder — 5–9" touch display, CHIRP ClearVü (all models) or ClearVü+SideVü+Panoptix™ compatibility (SV models). Built for inshore power-boat fishing and casual cruising.

  • cv models (52cv, 72cv) — entry-level, ClearVü scanning sonar, value pick
  • SV models (62SV, 72SV, 92SV) — SideVü + Panoptix™ live sonar compatible, serious fishing setup
  • Pick transducer: Included (drop-in install) or Without (use existing or buy specialized)
  • 500W sounder module, NMEA 2000 ready, BlueChart® G3 / Navionics compatible

Sizing tip: 5" for tiny center-consoles, 6–7" the sweet spot for most boats, 9" for flybridge / dual-helm. SV vs cv: pick SV if you fish seriously (SideVü shows structure to the sides), cv if it's mostly chartplotter use.

Use cases

Inshore fishing setup
SV models (62SV, 72SV) are the right pick for serious inshore fishing — SideVü shows structure 30 m to each side of the boat, ClearVü directly below. Panoptix LiveScope upgrade later gives real-time 3D underwater video.
Coastal cruising chartplotter
cv models (52cv, 72cv) are fine for chartplotter-first use — chartplotting, NMEA 2000 instrument data, basic depth sonar. Save €200-300 vs the SV models if fishing isn't a priority.
Replacement / upgrade
Drop-in replacement for older Garmin echoMAP and most other 5"/7"/9" chartplotter cutouts. Same NMEA 2000 connector — wire to existing backbone, transfer SD card with charts, sail.

Installation guide

1
Pick display size by helm space
5" for tight panels; 6–7" the sweet spot for most center-consoles and small cruisers; 9" for flybridge or where you want maximum chart visibility. Bigger = better but takes panel space and budget.
2
Pick cv vs SV
cv (52cv, 72cv): ClearVü scanning sonar — great for general bottom imaging. SV (62SV, 72SV, 92SV): adds SideVü (side-imaging) + Panoptix™ compatibility — pick SV if you fish seriously. SV costs €200-300 more but gives 3D-style underwater views.
3
Pick transducer option
With transducer = drop-in kit, install and go. Without transducer = you have an existing one, or you'll buy a specialized one (e.g. through-hull for larger boats, or Panoptix LiveScope for SV models).
4
Mount and wire
Flush-mount cutout or bracket mount. Power: 12V, 1.5A max. NMEA 2000 connect for chart data sharing with other instruments. Transducer mount: transom-mount for smaller boats, through-hull for larger.
5
Configure charts and networking
Insert your BlueChart G3 or Navionics SD card. Connect to NMEA 2000 backbone for VHF DSC location sharing, autopilot integration, instrument data. WiFi available for ActiveCaptain app pairing.
