Genuine spare pump for Osculati manual marine toilets — the most common wear-out part. When your toilet stops pumping, leaks at the base, or feels gritty, replace this pump and the toilet runs like new for another decade.

  • #8 Complete pump (€129.95) — full replacement with base, gasket and handle. Faster install, no fiddly parts.
  • #3 Pump with base gasket (€119.50) — pump body + gasket only, reuse your existing handle. €10 cheaper if your handle is good.
  • OEM Osculati — exact fit for the Compact, Standard and Comfort manual toilet lines
  • Numbers (#3 / #8) match the Osculati exploded view diagram

Service strategy: If the toilet won't draw water, your pump valves are gone — replace. If it pumps but leaks at the base, the base gasket failed — replace. See diagram in tech specs.

Use cases

Annual head service
Manual toilet pumps wear gradually — by year 5–7 the valves leak and the pump feels gritty. Proactive replacement (annual or biennial) prevents a holding-tank disaster mid-passage. €120 of parts vs €600+ of holding tank cleanup.
End-of-season refresh
Replace pump in spring before the boat goes back in — guaranteed reliable operation all season. Old pump goes in the spares box as a 'mid-season repair if the new one fails' backup. Costs nothing extra.
Boat purchase / refit
Just bought a used boat? The head is probably the oldest unmaintained system. €130 + 2 hours of work = a fresh pump that won't leak holding tank contents into your bilge. Highest-ROI maintenance task on a used boat.

Installation guide

1
Diagnose the failure
Won't draw water = pump valves worn (replace pump). Leaks at base = base gasket failed (replace pump or #3 alone). Stiff handle = pump bore galled (replace pump). Cracked handle = #8 needed (with handle).
2
Drain the toilet
Close the inlet seacock. Pump dry to clear water from bowl and discharge line. Disconnect the discharge hose at the toilet flange. Have a bucket ready — there's always residual water.
3
Remove the old pump
4 stainless bolts hold the pump to the toilet base. Remove, lift off the pump assembly. Wipe the base mating face clean — old sealant must come off cleanly.
4
Bed the new pump
Apply marine sealant (3M 4200 or A-Tec — NOT silicone) to the base mating face. Lower the new pump on, align with bolt holes. Hand-tighten bolts in cross-pattern, then snug — don't over-torque, the plastic cracks.
5
Reconnect and test
Re-fit the discharge hose to the toilet flange. Open the inlet seacock slowly. Pump 10–20 strokes to prime, check for leaks at the base. No leak, full water flow = job done. Leak = remove and re-bed the gasket.
