Use cases

At-anchor cabin cooling
DC operation means you can run AC at anchor on house battery — no generator, no engine. Mediterranean summer nights at anchor become livable. Combined with solar, the AC is essentially free of fuel cost.
Live-aboard climate
For boats lived in summer (Med, Caribbean, Florida), an AC transforms the boat from 'suffer through it' to 'enjoy it'. 5400 BTU keeps a mid-cruiser saloon at 23°C in 35°C ambient.
Replacement for old AC
Drop-in replacement for older 12V Cruisair, Webasto or similar DC ACs. Same install pattern, modern compressor efficiency. Inverter-AC retrofits can also be replaced with this for lower power consumption.

Installation guide

Pick 12V or 24V by your house bank
12V (€4474) — for boats with standard 12V house bank. 24V (€4874) — for larger boats with 24V bank; lower current draw means smaller wiring and less voltage drop on long runs.

Size the cabin
3700 BTU/h cools ~10 m³ at anchor in moderate climate — small cruiser cabin. 5400 BTU/h cools ~15 m³ — mid-size cruiser saloon. Larger cabins need 2 units.

Plan the install
Self-contained unit needs: dedicated cabinet (500 × 380 × 240 mm for 12V), air intake + condensate drain to a thru-hull below waterline, return air vent into cabin. Plus 6-8 mm² wiring from battery.

Add the remote panel
Optional but recommended: wall-mount at helm or cabin for one-touch operation. Wire is 4-conductor, runs alongside the AC's power cable.

Shore power for marina nights
Optional: shore power kit lets you run AC from 230V dock power AND charge your batteries at the same time. Saves your house bank for anchor nights.
